1. Description of service

Democratic Mod ("the bot", "the service") is a Discord bot that provides community-driven moderation features including voting systems, AI-powered message review, cross-server offense tracking, and a credit-based payment system.

The service is operated independently and is not affiliated with Discord Inc. or Anthropic.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service. Server administrators who add the bot must have the legal authority to do so and agree to these terms on behalf of their server.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Democratic Mod to:

• Harass, bully, or target specific individuals unfairly
• Abuse the voting or reporting system to get innocent users banned
• Attempt to manipulate or exploit the AI review system
• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Use the bot for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service

4. Credits and payments

The service operates on a credit system. Credits are required for AI review features. Server administrators receive $2.50 in free starting credits upon setup.

• Additional credits are purchased by sending SOL (Solana) to your server's unique wallet address
• Credits are non-refundable once consumed
• Unused credits are non-refundable if the bot is removed from your server
• We reserve the right to change credit pricing with 30 days notice
• Fraudulent payments will result in immediate service termination

5. AI review disclaimer

The AI review feature uses Claude by Anthropic to analyse messages. While we strive for accuracy, AI verdicts are not perfect and may occasionally be incorrect.

• Server administrators are responsible for configuring appropriate confidence thresholds
• Server administrators are responsible for reviewing and overriding incorrect actions
• We are not liable for moderation decisions made by the AI
• The appeal system exists for users to contest incorrect decisions

6. Cross-server data

By using Democratic Mod, you acknowledge that moderation actions taken against users in your server may be shared across other servers using the service, and vice versa. This is a core feature of the service.

Server administrators can configure the bot's behaviour but cannot opt out of the cross-server history feature while using the service.

7. Service availability

We strive to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. No refunds are provided for downtime.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the service at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Abuse of the service or its users
• Actions that put other users or servers at risk

You may stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your server.

9. Limitation of liability

Democratic Mod is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Incorrect moderation decisions by the AI
• Loss of credits due to service disruption
• Actions taken by server administrators or members
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will announce significant changes in our support server.
